Sporting Challenge Heat 'B'
Keyo staff enjoyed another beautiful summers evening down at the Melrose Shooting Ground for the 2nd heat of the clay shooting tournament on Friday 19th August. And just to spice things up a wee bit we had team 'Dark Horse Grimsby' in the mix, none of whom had ever shot before but were all potential winners fuelled by enthusiasm alone.
After the introductions and safety briefing we moved quickly onto the competition, culminating in the joint winners being Tony and Rick with scores of 27 each. They were closely followed by 23 for 'first timers' Wayne and Frank with the finalists being rounded off with another double score of 21 by Carl and Mark. A very credible result for everyone after being told by the Melrose team that any score over 15 was something to be proud of.
We rounded off the evening with a cup of tea and a cucumber sandwich discussing what could have been if the Olympics had only been a few months further away!
